Knowing I'd be disappointed if I didn't get in some sort of exercise yesterday, I headed out for a short run on my still-sore legs. I ended up doing 2.5 miles in 30:37, averaging 12:15 pace.

I've been pretty disappointed with my speed lately. There are several factors to blame. The biggest is my weight/the crappy food I've been eating. I'm the heaviest I've been in this past year. And I need to work on that BIGTIME before the half. For every pound I lose, I potentially shave off 2 seconds off of each mile. Yes, by gaining weight, I've added time to my miles. UGH! It's time to get serious about my intake!
